Architect in Overton

Overton is a former market town in the Test Valley with a fine medieval church, a collection of listed buildings around its central streets, and a surrounding area of considerable heritage interest — including Laverstoke Mill, a complex of nationally significant listed industrial buildings with a history stretching back centuries. The local building tradition of brick and flint runs through the town and its villages, from random rubble to carefully coursed and squared work, and the chalk country vernacular of north Hampshire has its own distinct material logic. Our practice specialises in working with historic fabric in ways that create genuinely modern, functional spaces — understanding heritage building processes deeply enough to work within them with confidence, and to introduce contemporary design, open-plan layouts, and modern materials where they add real value without compromising what matters most about the original building.
